A R Murugadoss' Akira, that is set to go on the floor later this year, has Sonakshi Sinha in the lead. The film was also meant to have Tabu in an important role. However, after a round of discussions, the powerhouse actress is said to have opted out of the movie. While a segment of the media even went as far as to say that Tabu had shot for four days before staging a walkout, others hinted that her decision to not do the film had something to do with date issues. While the actress didn't revert to our text message, her spokesperson said, “There has been no official announcement of Tabu being in the film because she hasn't signed it. Naturally she hasn't shot for it either.So the question of leaving the movie doesn't arise either. Talks were definitely on.However the shooting dates were an issue. Since Tabu is currently shooting for the Drishyam remake and she didn't wish to be in a spot with a date-clash; she has decided not to do Akira.“
