A sprawling penthouse in a partially-occupied building on Pali Hill is Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif's 'secret' party spot

While they have a sea-facing apartment on Carter Road with a terrace which every guest raves about, lovebirds Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif have found another spot for occasional gettogethers with a select set of friends. A source close to the couple informed Mirror that the top-floor in a partially occupied Bandra high-rise, Sandhu Palace, has caught the fancy of the couple. No, they aren't planning another real estate investment.

The penthouse is owned by a close friend who is game for midnight bashes away from the prying eyes of the paparazzi.

It was here that last Friday, Ranbir and Katrina, along with RK's director buddy, Ayan Mukerji, producer Aarti Shetty and actor Aditya Roy Kapur among others let their hair down. The occasion was the birthday bash of one of the owner's sons.

One of the guests present told Mirror, "It was a crazy party with flashing psychedelic lights, trance music and even a projector in the living area. The apartment is like one you'd find in New York's Upper East Side and is the perfect party place."

Earlier, Mirror (October 2013) had reported that Sandhu Palace had run into trouble after the Bombay High Court stayed work on the Rs. 1800 crore project after the society which gave the development rights moved court alleging the builders have utilised FSI available on four plots instead of the three allotted.

The society wanted to cancel its agreement with the builder and sought compensation pegged at around Rs. 189 crore in damages. It has also demanded action against the BMC for allegedly conniving with the developers and granting sanctions.

Some families have moved into the building since but many flats are still unoccupied. The penthouse though lights up intermittently with a handful of Bollywood stars.
