They were famous rivals in the late ’80s, but even after almost three decades, the ice between Madhuri Dixit and Sridevi hardly appears to have thawed. Eyewitnesses at an awards gala on Saturday night have been whispering about the duo giving the cold shoulder to each other.

Madhuri entered the venue at around 10.30pm along with husband Shriram Nene, walking the red carpet and posing for the cameras. At the same time, Sridevi was leaving the party with Boney Kapoor, says a source present at the event. “But no sooner that the two actresses had seen each other than they looked away. The cold vibes between them was hard to ignore for everyone present,” adds the source.
