Ek Paheli Leela is akin to
actor Mohit Ahlawat's rebirth in the film industry. The musical drama,
based on reincarnation, sees him return to the screen after a four-year
hiatus.
When asked about his comeback, he says, “This film is very close to me as the audience won't just see a reincarnation story on screen, but also a new me. It's my rebirth in the industry after the break I had to take, due to personal reasons. I give the entire credit to the strongest trio of my life - producers Bhushan Kumar and Ahmed Khan, and director Bobby Khan.“
Coming back to the industry was tough for the actor. Mohit tells us how he underwent rigorous training sessions in the gym for his makeover. Revealing that in his difficult phase, his father wanted him to join the family business, the actor adds, “Acting has always been my passion and I wasn't ready to leave this profession. Something always kept me close to films. I went ahead with my instincts and trained hard for two years to maintain myself in good physical form.“
At director Bobby's behest, a few months before the shoot began, the actor learnt horse riding, rifle shooting, a Rajasthani dialect and also participated in creating the wardrobe for his character of a prince.
Ek Paheli Leela, produced by T-Series and Paperdoll Entertainment, releases April 10.
