It will take great effort to not physically assault the person who wrote about my depression-Ranveer Singh

The actor wants to beat up reporter for writing about his depression, never mind even if it is a female
DNA (April 23, 2015)
The Gunday actor is in gunda mode. In an interview to
Hindustan Times on Wednesday, while commenting on an article about him
going through depression following his friend’s suicide in this paper,
the actor said, “I was angered by that article; and I am still not over
it. In fact, I am so angry that it would take major effort on my part to
not physically assault the person who wrote it, if I ever come across
him or her. It’s despicable on their part to sensationalise my personal
tragedy.” He went to add that connecting his depression to his
girlfriend Deepika Padukone speaking about it, was trivialising her
effort. “How can someone be so random, callous, careless and insensitive
towards such a serious issue.”
The above were the very adjectives used to describe for his AIB Roast (and worse) and all the while he was being lynched by detractors, it was the media who stood by him. But given that he sat there laughing and cheering all through the callous, insensitive, careless and random remarks that were made about his ex, it’s nice to see him take a stand for his current girl.
Standing up
While it’s nice to see Ranveer Singh stand up for Deepika Padukone why didn’t he do so for Anushka Sharma?
Meanwhile...
In the online edition of the same interview the actor says, “Can I say – out of thin air — that a person is suffering from AIDS?” Did you just compare AIDS to depression, Mr Singh. One is a disease, the other a condition. Perhaps you should read up about it. Especially as your girlfriend struggled with depression.
