While Abhishek Bachchan is enjoying doing light roles, he wants to do a serious film
Sarita A Tanwar (DNA; April 27, 2015)
Abhishek Bachchan has been in the acting business for
the last 15 years. He has done all kinds of roles. From playing the good
guy (Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon) to the bad fella (Raavan). From a
con-man (Bunty Aur Babli) to a cop (Dhoom series). A father to an old
son (Paa) and son to his father in (Kabhie Alvida Naa Kehna).
Ask Abhishek if there is anything he has not done, and wants to do, and he says, “I’d love to do a tragedy, a classic Shakespearean tragedy. I have not done that. But right now, I am really enjoying having fun. In between, I went through a phase where I was doing very serious, intense films and after that I just wanted to go out there and be uninhibited and do mad stuff, take out all that excessive energy. I am doing that right now. So you know when I do a Happy New Year, a Housefull or a Hera Pheri, I am enjoying that zone. I don’t know, maybe, after this phase gets over, I’d love to do something very intense and tragic.” Are you listening Vishal Bhardwaj?
