Director Ashutosh Gowariker is going the Sanjay Leela Bhansali way and has forbidden the use of phones on the Mohenjo Daro sets to prevent leaks. The cast and crew have also been instructed that their families won’t be allowed on sets. Lead actor Hrithik Roshan decided to abide by the rules as well, without being asked to.

The phone ban has been effectively used by filmmakers. As such, phones are confiscated at the beginning of day’s shooting and returned only at the end of filming for the day. This is a measure to ensure that pictures and spoilers are not leaked.

Ashu’s cast and crew have followed his diktat as has Hrithik. “Also, the director never barred Hrithik’s family from the sets. But he understood his director’s predicament and led by example. “He too did not invite his family on the sets in Bhuj. He recently took his family on a holiday and resumed shooting in Bhuj two days ago,” says our source.

“Ashu has already made plans of how to market and promote the film. He does not want the story or set pictures to come out anywhere before they are unveiled officially,” the source said.
