Recently on his visit to the sets of Zee’s DID Super Moms when he had gone along with Shraddha Kapoor to promote their upcoming movie ABCD - Any Body Can Dance - 2, Varun Dhwan, a self-confessed fan of Govinda, shared an interesting anecdote about the time when dad David Dhawan was directing him in Main Tera Hero. He revealed that after working with Govinda, his dad would not be satisfied with whatever Varun would deliver in the course of his shot and most of the times, he would end up saying, ‘that’s not how Govinda would have done it’. Considering that David-Govinda are hailed as the most successful actor-director jodi on the silver screen, it was quite a daunting task for Varun to live up to his father’s expectations. Varun said, “Govinda sir has spoilt my dad. As an actor, he has set such high standards that it is extremely difficult to reach up to that level. After having worked with him in numerous blockbusters, my dad kept expecting the same perfection and madness Govindaji used to bring to his performances and dance moves. Main Tera Hero was one of the toughest movies I have done as a result.” On the other hand, Govinda was nostalgic with memories of watching the two current heartthrobs grow up from li’l kids to where they stand today. He said, “Their fathers used to bring them on the sets when they were kids and now I am amazed to see how Shraddha has turned out to be so beautiful. They are super talented and I wish all the best for their future.”
