WILL SUNNY LEONE PULL AUDIENCES AGAIN WITH EK PAHELI LEELA?

Sunny Leone - The name is enough to grab eyeballs at least, if not viewers in theatres. She came to limelight with her stint in Bigg Boss. She bagged her first film while in the show - Jism-2. The film became a hit despite the brickbats. Her next film Jackpot flopped but she regained her position with the horror erotica Ragini MMS 2. Sunny is now back with a reincarnation drama with a dose of erotica called Ek Paheli Leela. The film is directed by Bobby Khan and produced by his brother and famous choreographer Ahmed Khan along with T-Series. From the promos, it is evident that it is a reincarnation drama and is an amalgamation of music, mystery, thrill, action, romance, dance and of course sex. Sunny looks odd at some places in scenes where she is playing a village belle. But she oozes sensuality and that is what her fans want from her. The songs of the film have got noticed and even topped the chartbusters. But none of the 8-9 song has the 'Baby Doll'-like quality. Hence, the excitement of the film is limited. It's been a while since a massy film have released. And that's where Ek Paheli Leela can score. Ultimately, it's the content that'll do the talking although the initial will be okay to good.

The other 2 films of the week are as follows:

DHARAM SANKAT MEIN: It is an official remake of the British film The Infidels and stars Paresh Rawal, Annu Kapoor and Naseeruddin Shah. The trailer of the film is hilarious and despite lack of star names, there is a certain excitement for the movie. It is a religious satire and producer Sajjad Chunawala has assured that no one religion has been targeted as it happened during PK when a section of audience alleged that the film was imbalanced. The film might have a slow start but can pick up, the way OMG Oh My God took off, provided the word of mouth is very positive.

BROKEN HORSES: This is a Hollywood film directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. It is partly inspired from Chopra's Hindi film Parinda and stars Chris Marquette, Thomas Jane, Vincent D'Onofrio and MarĂa Valverde. The promo looks alright but it's a proud feeling that a Bollywood director has gone out and tried to dream big and come up with a Hollywood film that looks quite slick and thrilling. However, the excitement for the film is negligible, in India or Overseas. This would prove detrimental to the film's prospects at the box office, especially if the word of mouth turns out to be negative.
