Divya Dutta, who was last
seen in the Varun Dhawan-starrer Badlapur is
upbeat about playing her first ever negative character in the upcoming
film, Chalk n Duster. “This is my first negative role so I am really looking
forward to it because it is something I haven't attempted before,“ the actress asserted.
Chalk n Duster is a coming-of-age story dealing with the life of teachers and the problems they face while keeping up with the ever-changing education system and societal norms.
The 37-year-old actress who is known for her offbeat roles in films like, Stanley Ka Dabba, Gippi and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, now aims to tap her potential in the unexplored zone. “It's difficult when one gets bracketed into a certain type of image. I want to do a negative role now because it would showcase my range as a performer,“ said the actress who has worked in over 80 films.
Chalk n Duster is Bollywood's well-known makeup artiste Subhash Singh's maiden production venture and co-stars Juhi Chawla, Shabana Azmi, Zarina Wahab.
