Director Sajid Khan is adding a new feather to his cap — that of a columnist. While you may assume that his columns will be an extension of his funny films, think again. Sajid says, “People may be thinking that my columns will be all about movies and jokes. That’s not correct. Having said that, I have no idea what I am going to write about. What I do know is that I won’t write a boring column. I think the logic to putting down anything or putting a message across is to take the route of humour. If something makes you smile, then the message gets sent across further,” he says.

Sajid’s close friend Twinkle Khanna is his favourite columnist followed by Shweta Bachchan Nanda. While Tina writes on just about anything, he is in awe of Shweta’s niche take on Delhi and her one-liner punches. “I have known Tina for close to 25 years and I have always known that she is a very funny woman. I am so glad that through her column, people are getting to see that funny side of hers.”

So what if he doesn’t know what he is going to write about, at least he has a name for his column! “Thank Dog It’s Tuesday” — doesn’t it bring a big smile to your face? We’ll gear up for his column tomorrow.

Sajid has the maddest sense of humour I have ever known! He is funny and intelligent in addition to being a film encyclopedia! He will make a great coloumnist as he has the inbuilt quality to entertain! Also, he has strong opinions on things so it will be fun to read his thoughts.

The starting point of knowing Sajid for me was his sense of humour. He has this unique ability to find humour in anything around, be it a happy moment or a tragedy. I think he is the best choice to write a column because no one has more knowledge about films and our industry than him. And all this will be presented to everyone through Sajid’s funny perspective. All I can say to the readers is welcome to the crazy world of Sajid Khan.
