Preity Zinta who was away from B-town's party circuit, is making a comeback and how! Last Sunday she had a girls' night out at her place, then on Friday, she drove to Panvel to celebrate Holi with Salman Khan at his farmhouse and a day later, zipped back into town to host a theme party at the terrace of her Bandra apartment for producer friend Madhu Mantena and his soon-to-be fiancée Masaba Gupta. It was also a belated birthday bash for herself.

A source told Mirror that the terrace resembled a set from a '80s Bollywood movie. “She didn't tell the guests that retro was the theme but the walls were plastered with cowboy posters. Around midnight, the DJ only played songs from Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra's films,“ added the source.

Among the early birds were Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'souza, Mallaika Arora Khan and husband Arbaaz, Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra. Madhu's Phantom boys, Vikas Bahl and Anurag Kashyap, joined the revelry later, as did Preity's buddy Yuvraj Singh. Madhu's close friend, Shahid Kapoor, however couldn't make it.

“Everybody went awww watching Madhu and Masaba dance. They looked like a couple meant to spend the rest of their lives together. Madhu was emotional as this is an important year for him, professionally (he's co-producing Bombay Velvet and Shandaar) and personally,“ a guest pointed out. “The last time, the cops had busted her party, so this time Preity kept the music down and liquor in check. The party wrapped up before 4 am.“

While Masaba couldn't be reached for a comment as she was watching her mother Neena Gupta's play, Mera Who Matlab Nahin Tha, and Madhu remained unavailable for comment, the source added that a plush SoBo hotel has been booked for their engagement. “It's on Tuesday, March 10. Invites have already been dispatched there,“ said the source.
