Action king Akshay Kumar is
expected to arrive this summer in Gabbar Is Back, in a
much-talked-about avatar. He will be seen as the man who will clean the
society in his new role as Gabbar.Believe us when we tell you that there
is fear building in pockets and lines such as, 'Pachaas pachaas kos
door jab koi rishwat leta hai... to sab kehete hai mat le, varna Gabbar
aajayega' are being repeated.
The film is an entertainer with substance, about a man who has set out to fight a fierce battle against corruption. Revisiting the face of fear with Bollywood's most intimidating villain Gabbar Singh, and his famous dialogues, a 360 degree promotional drive was launched to touch the daily lives of the aam junta.Grossing a huge number of touch points across 15 cities pan India, this teaser piqued curiosity among viewers.
Asking all fans to join this fight, Akshay said, “Gabbar is an iconic villain in the Indian film industry. I am honoured to have been able to play his namesake. In our film, Gabbar is the personification of a thought that represents the power of the common man. I wanted this thought to reach the aam aadmi across India. I want to thank all the people who have responded to the campaign and with this film, we hope to have many more join this fight against corruption.“ The pulsating trailer of this film will be launched tomorrow.
The film, produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and co-produced by Shabinaa Khan, releases on May 1.
