Actress Subuhi Joshi will play a character too 'dark' for her comfort on Comedy Classes. She will be seen as Poonam Pandey's sister Amavas Pandey in one of the spoofs. To match her name with her looks, the makers decided to paint her black. Says Subuhi, “When I read the script and got to know that my character's name is Amavas, I died laughing. But that laughter died abruptly when I realised that I had to look hideous. It took two hours of makeup to get the desired result. I was so scandalised that I didn't want anyone to see me.“
