Since successfully debuting in Student Of The Year, Varun Dhawan has had a great run with Main Tera Hero and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania both doing great at the box-office. Badlapur releases this month and he’s currently shooting for ABCD2. Thereafter, he begins shooting for brother Rohit Dhawan’s Dishoom and is supposed to have signed Rohit Shetty’s next with Shah Rukh Khan. He is also being considered for the Ram Lakhan remake.

At this rate, Varun might well be the busiest actor of his generation. So busy, in fact, that he has no dates to spare for his father, Main Tera Hero director David Dhawan.

Says a source, “Dhawan Sr has discussed several subjects with Varun, but he hasn’t evinced interest. He wants his father to come up with something exciting. But more importantly, Varun is so busy that he actually doesn’t have dates for David even if he approves the script.”

Dhawan Sr denies the buzz and asserts, “Woh mera beta hai. We will always make a good film. But I can’t be selfish. As a father, I want him to work with other people. It is good that he works with better directors and better films. I can always wait. It’s true, I will be doing a film with him only next year.”
