SHAMITABH is an addition to the disaster list as the film is looking at second week business of around 1.75 crore. The second weekend was a little under 1.25 crore nett. The film had grossed 18.25 crore in week one so after two weeks it will be at 20 crore nett. The collections have crashed 90% from week one.
The film cost more than 50 crore including prints and marketing for all rights and the domestic share from theatres will hardly be 10 crore. The film has also fared poorly in Overseas and recovery outside domestic theatrical will be in the 10-12 cr region.
This will mean a huge loss of 30 crore. It has done similar to HAPPY ENDING - the only difference being that film cost 7-8 crore more.
