Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif-starrer Phantom has
been pushed from April to August. The film has been delayed because the
makers have realised that it is very similar to the Akshay Kumar-starrer
and Neeraj Pandey directed Baby that released last week.
Phantom is about post-26/11 attacks in Mumbai and global terrorism. It sounds oddly similar to Baby. The Saif-starrer revolves around protagonist Daniyal, whose journey to seek justice takes him from India to Europe, America and the volatile West Asia. Baby revolved around protagonist Ajay Rajput on a mission and it was shot in Istanbul, Nepal, Abu Dhabi etc. Also, the leading ladies are both special agents in the film. There were other similarities, so the team has decided not to release it so close to Baby. They are hoping that the audiences will be more willing to see Phantom when there is a big gap between the releases
