Importance of jogging
Jogging is a great form of exercise, but only if it is done on a proper and natural surface so as to not cause damage to the body. Morning is the best time for jogging. Though running does form a part of my daily exercise, I don’t do it for long intervals. Sprinting in short bursts during my cardio regime is what works best for me.
Preparing for the marathon
To be part of a marathon, one has to be prepared, which I don’t think I am right now, but at some point in life, I definitely want to participate. What works for me while running is finding songs in which the beats coincide with every step I take. So, if I am running to a song with beats that match my steps I automatically run longer, the music keeps me going!
Fitness mantra
Consistency and dedication. I have realised being regular with a workout regime — it could be in the gym, playing a sport, dancing or yoga — gives great results over a longer period of time.
Love my treadmill
I have a treadmill and it plays a big role in my fitness regime. Even if I am feeling lazy to do a full workout, I just get onto my treadmill and walk for an hour. That way I know I am doing something, which is better than nothing!
Fav tracks while exercising
I have my workout mix which I listen to. It’s got a whole mix of songs right from Hindi film music to David Guetta!
Ranveer it is!
One actor I’d choose for the marathon is Ranveer Singh. He has way too much energy, will be able to finish the run, and definitely egg me on if I happen to stop somewhere in the middle!
My Message
Kudos to the women running the marathon! I think every participant shows a lot of strength and dedication by just being a part of the run. They inspire health and fitness, too. I wish them all the best!
