Choreographer-turned-director Remo DSouza has spent the last six
months searching for an apt title for his upcoming superhero-drama
starring Tiger Shroff and Jacqueline Fernandez. First, he came up with
Flying Jatt, then moved on to Turbo Singh and has now finally settled on
Turbanator since Tiger plays a Sardar superhero.
Earlier, Mirror (September 17) had reported that Remo had signed Jacky as the leading lady opposite the Heropanti actor. Now a source close to the 29-year-old actress confirms that she gave the film her nod without even reading the script. "She was so excited to be a part of a dance film that she came on board without even asking for a character brief," the source says.
Jacky plays a classical dancer in the film who meets the turbaned Tiger when he foils an attempt to abduct her. "I play a Bharata Natyam dancer and I'm learning the dance form from a teacher in Delhi. I've watched Heropanti and I feel Tiger is a really good dancer. My role includes a lot of dancing and flying so I want to match him, step for step," says the actress whose upcoming film, Roy, opens this Friday.
This week, the shooting of Karan Malhotra's Brothers will also wrap up with a song in Mumbai. After completing this action-drama and her Hollywood project, Definition of Fear, she will start shooting for Turbanator in April.
