Early on Saturday, Shakti
Kapoor woke up to a flood of calls and messages enquiring
about his well-being. This was a reaction to a WhatsApp
text that had gone viral declaring that the 56-year-old actor had died
in a car crash on his way to Khandala. He'd just returned from a
schedule of Kya Kool Hain Hum 3 in Bangkok when friends started calling
and on hearing his voice began crying. David Dhawan and Rumi Jaffery
were panic-stricken.“I assured them I'm fine but the calls don't stop. I
am tired of telling people that I'm not dead,“ Shakti sighed.
Dilip Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Katrina Kaif and Ayushmann Khurrana have earlier been declared dead. “My lawyer says we can't do anything as it's impossible to track the prankster,“ says the actor.
Son Siddhanth Kapoor added, “I was taking a nap. I woke up to over 50 calls asking about the accident. I looked out of the window, saw dad strolling and went went back to sleep.“
