Sushant Singh Rajput will be seen essaying the role of one of India's favourite captains, Mahendra Singh Dhoni in M S Dhoni - The Untold Story. The official biopic is directed by Neeraj Pandey.

Right from the announcement of the project, the film has gained appeal across cricket playing nations of the world including India, thanks to the popularity of MSD. The movie traces Dhoni's rise from his humble beginnings in Ranchi to a cricketing star. Neeraj is clear that he wants to uncover the personal and human story behind the icon - his untold story filled with humour, romance, tragedy and triumph.

Aware that it's a challenging role, Sushant has been working hard for nearly four months now, practising to play and keep the wicket like the Indian skipper.

The film is being co-produced by Fox Star Studios and Inspired Entertainment, which is an associate company of Rhiti Sports that has the exclusive rights of Dhoni's story .
