Abhi is Mama’s boy for reel

The cast of Hera Pheri's third installment is set to get another interesting new addition. Mirror has learnt that the makers, who pulled off a casting coup by bringing Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham on board, are now in talks with Jaya Bachchan to play Abhishek's mother in the film.

A source close to the unit told Mirror, "The character is a quirky mother, something Jaya hasn't attempted before. Both, producer Firoz Nadiadwala and director Neeraj Vora want her for the role. She has received a narration and is considering the offer."

The source added that Jaya is eager to play Abhishek's mother onscreen. Incidentally, the Guddi actress' last major appearance in a Hindi film was in Goldie Behl's 2008 film Drona where she played Queen Jayanti - again the mother of Abhishek's character.

When contacted, Neeraj Vora admitted that they've met the veteran actress and are waiting for her approval. "We'd really like to have her onboard. She's considering the role and by the end of this month, we should have a clear idea."
