Ajay Devgn says he was shitting bricks when the gun was pointed at his earlobe. “For 45 years, I have resisted the temptation to get my ears pierced. I have shown such dare-devilry on screen and I'm not afraid of anything. But I was petrified of this gun-piercing. However, now the deed is done for Shivaay,“ he says. The actor, who is set to leave for Canada in a few days, explains that it was “necessary to do it to stay in character'' and hence, he went ahead and got his ears pierced. He is currently wearing a pair of silver rings in both ears.



Abhishek Bachchan, who sports diamond studs in his ears, got his ears pierced at the same time when his daughter Aaradhya Bachchan got it done. The father wanted to experience the same feeling that his little one did when she got her piercing done. While Abhishek started out with wearing smaller studs, he later graduated to slightly bigger diamonds.

Salman Khan was perhaps one of the earliest Bollywood superstars to start this trend. Salman's father Salim Khan also wears earrings and the two style statements Salman borrowed from his father are the earrings and the silver turquoise bracelet that he sports.

Ranbir Kapoor, Aamir Khan and Ranveer Singh have also got their ears pierced in the last couple of years. They have been spotted wearing an assortment of rings and studs on various occasions in keeping with the screen characters they play.
