The last month of 2014 has seen a filmy shuffle of unusual proportions.

Tanuj Garg, the Chief Executive Officer of Ekta Kapoor's production house, Balaji Motion Pictures, has left the organisation. "It's great to see where the company has reached as when I joined, we pretty much started from scratch. I'm yet to decide where I'm moving to," said Garg who has been in the business for nearly 12 years. During Garg's tenure, the company produced hits like The Dirty Picture, Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai, Ragini MMS 1 and 2 and more recently Ek Villain.

While Tanuj's replacement is yet to be found, Ekta has promoted Tanveer Bookwala to the position of Chief Creative Officer. Buzz in trade circles suggested that Ekta was wooing industry veteran Ajit Thakur for the empty position, but Thakur, a former head of an entertainment channel is set to join Eros International as their Chief Executive Officer from January.

Meanwhile, Sandeep Singh, who served as the head of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's production house, has moved on to form his own company, Greenlight Entertainment.

When contacted Sandeep said, "I've learnt a lot from Bhansali and that experience will help me in taking my own firm forward," adding, "I begin with Hansal Mehta's next starring Rajkummar Rao and Manoj Bajpayee."Singh has been instrumental in putting together films like Ram-Leela, Mary Kom and the upcoming Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone starrer Bajirao Mastani
