We have learnt that actress
Amala Akkineni (who is the wife of Tollywood supertstar Nagarjuna) is
all set to play a cameo in Mohit Suri's Hamari Adhuri Kahani that has
Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan in the lead. “The makers of the film
recently met Amala to narrate the role. She liked it very much and
agreed to do it,“ says a source close to Amala. The movie based on the
love story of Mahesh Bhatt's parents has been written by Bhatt himself
and is currently under production.

Amala Akkineni, wife of
Telugu superstar Nagarjuna, has acted in several hit films down South
but is best-remembered here for Pushpak, the 1987 silent comedy.
That is set to change as she not only plays a pivotal role in Mohit Suri's Humari Adhuri Kahani, but will also sing and enact the title song. She was last seen in a cameo appearance in Listen Amaya last year.
The Emraan Hashmi-Vidya Balan-Rajkummar Rao love triangle is set in two different time periods -the early '90s and 2014. According to a source Amala appears in both the decades, ageing gracefully.
"Her character encompasses the theme of the film," adds the source.
Confirming this, Mahesh Bhatt told Mirror, "We chose Amala because her beauty has a certain tranquillity. She is the heart of the film and conveys a sense of romantic idealism. Her character, much like Amala herself, believes that you do not have to be extraordinary to love someone extraordinarily."
Humari Adhuri Kahani is in its final leg and according to Bhatt, should release around June 2015.
