Lara Dutta to play curator who sells Aditya Roy Kapur's paintings in Fitoor?

Lara Dutta, who was last
seen in a cameo in Bejoy Nambiar's David, has now joined the cast of
Abhishek Kapoor's Fitoor. An adaptation of Charles Dickens's Great
Expectations, the film is being shot extensively in Kashmir and a
source close to the unit told Mirror, “The role required an
actress who looked effortlessly sophisticated. Lara plays
an art gallery owner known for impeccable taste.“
Aditya Roy Kapur essays the role of a painter and Katrina Kaif plays his muse.“Although Lara's character who is not easily impressed, Aditya's paintings make an deep impact on her. The two have quite a few dramatic scenes together,“ the source added.
Although not a very lengthy one, the source insisted that it is a pivotal role and is intrumental in taking the narrative forward. “The makers think she is ideal for the part. Currently, the modalities are being worked out,“ added the source.
Lara is also working on the sequel of her debut production, Chalo Dilli. She will be seen in another venture too, a family comedy, to be produced by husband Mahesh Bhupathi.
