Not too long ago, reports about Aamir Khan and Deepika Padukone teaming up for a film were doing the rounds. The PK actor was approached by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani for their next production venture and Aamir actually gave his nod to the film. The Bajirao Mastani actress was also on board. But, suddenly things went haywire. First, Aamir walked off the project and then Deepika followed suit. While reports claimed AK backed out because of creative differences and script issues, we hear the reason was something else.

It seems Aamir wasn’t happy with the remuneration. Most of the A-list actors have a stake in their film’s profit and Aamir falls under this category. But that’s not the problem. While Farhan and Ritesh were ready to split the profit share, it is being said that the 3 Idiots actor this time asked for 80 per cent share. That’s like walking away with almost the entire pie! This reportedly didn’t go down well with the producers and the deal fell through. No doubt, Aamir Khan gets the cash registers ringing, but looks like the superstar went too far by asking for 80 per cent of the profit share. He should start concentrating on his production house and make films because it is doubtful that any other producer will let him have almost the whole cake!
