ROAR - TIGERS OF THE SUNDERBANS and SUPER NANI fared poorly at the box office though the former did better and has gone into week two still playing at a few cinemas. SUPER NANI was a washout and is out of theatres in one week. ROAR - TIGERS OF THE SUNDERBANS fared better in B and C centres but it was still very low as it has costs of over 20 crore while theatrical share will not even hit 5 crore.

ROAR - TIGERS OF THE SUNDERBANS grossed around 8 crore nett in its first week while SUPER NANI was around 2.25 crore nett. Both films failed to get much advantage of the two partial holidays on Tuesday and Thursday as collections were so low.

It was always going to prove tough with a release one week after HAPPY NEW YEAR and proved to be the case.
-----------------------------
HAPPY NEW YEAR grossed around 34.50 crore nett in its second week which is the second highest second week of the year after KICK which grossed around 47 crore nett. The film was aided a couple of partial holidays in the week but still it is a decent hold in week two.

In terms of all time second weeks it is eighth highest ever and behind last years behind Shahrukh Khan starrer CHENNAI EXPRESS which was around 37.50 crore nett. The highest second week ever is DHOOM 3 with a 64 crore nett total.

The total for HAPPY NEW YEAR after two weeks is around 168 crore nett and the film should finish around the 180 crore nett mark which would make it the sixth highest grossing film ever.
