It is well-known in the corridors of Yash Raj that Parineeti Chopra is Rani Mukerji’s favourite and that Rani sees a semblance of her own spunky spirit in Parineeti. So it comes as no surprise to know that like Rani after Saathiya, Parineeti is taking a break for a while after Kill Dil.

By a strange co-incidence both Saathiya and Kill Dil were directed by Shaad Ali. Just before the release of Saathiya Rani had confessed that she wanted to hold all her further assignments until she saw audiences’ reaction to Shaad’s film.

Parineeti sounds exactly like Rani did. “After Kill Dil releases I will take a break. I won’t be seen on screen for maybe the next nine-ten months. I may sign something soon. But I first want to see the audiences’ reaction to my performance in Kill Dil before deciding on what kind of a film to do next,” says Pari.
