While shooting for Happy Ending at one of the locations in Los Angeles, directors Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK were completely baffled when a few cops confronted them. They began questioning the director duo about who gave them permission to shoot at that particular location. Flustered, the directors tried explaining to them how they had taken the necessary permissions.

While they were trying to handle the cops, Saif Ali Khan and producer Dinesh Vijan were having a hearty laugh. Turns out, the two had brought these fake cops on the set, in a bid to pull a fast one on Raj and Krishna. The directors were all the more baffled when Saif, who was present at the venue, put the entire blame on them, saying that they didn't do the recee properly . It was only after a while that Raj and Krishna realised that it was a prank.

Says Raj, “We went through enough trouble with permissions initially, and then we always had cops around on the streets while we were shooting. All this added to the confusion.“

Happy Ending, produced by Eros International and Illuminati Films, releases November 21.
