The Bachchan family loves Karan Johar. While the Big B, Jaya Bachchan and Abhishek have all been part of Karan’s Dharma Productions, the Bachchan bahu has somehow never been a part of his films. But that might change now.

Says a source, “Karan has offered Aishwarya Rai Bachchan a role and the actress who is on a comeback trail has agreed.” Elaborating on the project, the source close to both families says, “Aishwarya was supposed to do Dostana. But then she felt audiences won’t accept her walking with another man (Bobby Deol) so soon after marriage when Abhishek was courting her in the film.”

The source adds that Karan has offered her a role in the film that he plans to make with Aamir Khan in the lead. “Aamir and Aishwarya have never been together except for one scene in Dharmesh Darshan’s Mela. It would be a casting coup... From Dharmesh to Dharma... Ash and Aamir together for the first time and both working for Dharma Productions for the first time.”
