Rajkummar Rao was offered a negative role in Riteish
Deshmukh’s upcoming film Bank Chor. The actor reportedly feels that the
role offered to him in Bank Chor was out-and-out negative and that he
felt it was too early in his career to play that negative a role. Rao’s
loss was Vivek Oberoi’s gain as he was the next in line to be considered
for the same role. And now the Krrish 3 baddie has been finalised to
play villain a second time in Bank Chor. Reports about Rajkummar turning
it down because he thought it was too early reminds us of a statement
he gave us during an exclusive interview at the time of CityLights. He
said, “I have come here to act and do performance driven roles.” His
turning down the role in Bank Chor could only mean two things; either
Rao didn’t find the role challenging enough or that his acting principle
has changed a bit ever since he tasted success.
