For years, a mountainous stretch at the mouth of river Vyas, between Kullu and Manali, didn't have a motorable road. When producer-director Vipul Shah landed in the region to shoot his TV show, the Rannvijay Singha-Adah Sharma starrer Pukaar, he realised that that the shoot required a road leading to the river, through which a truck could pass.

Says Vipul, "We needed a clear path for an important sequence and thought it would be best to construct a road as it would also benefit the locals. They were using a dangerous narrow path till now."

The crew, which is shooting on real locations, then built a road so the planned scene could be shot. "The permissions from the local municipal body were not a problem as we were not cutting any trees. We were able to lay the road in a couple of days and now a heavy vehicle can pass through it," the director told Mirror.

The filmmaker added that the road was not disrupted after the shoot and now serves as a muchused pathway. "The locals are overjoyed. And so are we," says Vipul.
