Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani is playing Abhishek Bachchan's mother and Rishi Kapoor's wife in Umesh Shukla's All Is Well. Hers is one of the key roles in the film. The actress-turned-MP had greenlighted the project before she took charge of her current portfolio in the newly elected government.

Industry sources say that a long schedule was completed up North before the Lok Sabha elections. However, shooting for the balance portion has reportedly been stalled because Smriti is now neck-deep in her new assignments.

Being the thorough professional that she is, she has assured all the concerned parties that she will definitely see her film through. But, in all likelihood, she may end up giving dates only in end 2014-early 2015. Also, there are chances Smriti may only shoot on weekends when the Parliament is closed. The actors and technicians are on standby because most of them understand that the lady in question is actually doing the right thing.
