With each episode, the competition for the Yamaha Fascino Miss Universe 2014 pageant is getting Diva tougher, with unexpected challenges testing the survival skills of the finalists. In tonight's Speed Date episode, the 11 finalists will be tested on their ability to articulate well. And judging them, besides mentor and host Lara Dutta aka 'D', is Randeep Hooda. Each girl will get a minute to impress Randeep and depending on how well they fare, the actor will pick one girl to be his date.

To ensure they look their best for their rendezvous with Randeep, the finalists first meet designer duo Falguni and Shane Peacock, who recently showcased their latest collection at New York Fashion Week, which was also worn by Lady Gaga, Iggy Azalea and Zendaya. Dressed in creations by the Peacocks, the girls next meet Randeep. From being coy to going all out to woo him, they sure had charm spilling out of every move.

Said Randeep, “The pageant now shows a more interesting side of what happens in the competition. I was very impressed by a couple of girls.“ The actor, who won seven medals at the National Equestrian Championship a couple of months ago, also spoke to them about his passion for horses.

The girls, who are meeting a new celebrity judge in every episode, seem to be imbibing unique skills from them all. Says Lara, “We are in the second week and I'm being far more critical now. The tasks are getting harder and we want to see whether the girls manage to sink or swim.“ The episode was shot at F Bar, Lower Parel, with makeup and hair for the girls by Dessange Paris.
