This A-list actress may have never considered following in the footsteps of her father and India’s first badminton star, Prakash Padukone, but has managed to make him experience a slice of her craft. Deepika Padukone has shot for a print ad with the sports legend for a private bank, which will soon be flashed in the media.

A source said, “The father-daughter duo feature in a print ad for a private bank. The reserved and soft-spoken Prakash Padukone is camera shy and it took Deepika a while to make him comfortable.’’

Recounting Padukone senior’s humility, another source said, “I had seen him at the registrar’s office in Bandra where he completed the registration formalities for Deepika’s house but not even once did he flaunt his status. He stood there patiently till his turn came for the verification process.’’

The list of celebrities who have earlier shot for commercials with their respective fathers includes Sonam Kapoor and Salman Khan.
