Kunal Kapoor's penchant for flying planes is just one of the many high-adrenaline hobbies that keep him thrilled.For the past three years, the actor has been training to drive rally cars at a track on the outskirts of Mumbai and earlier this year, he participated in his first car rally in Europe, too. And now, his need for speed and adventure has taken him towards a unique course. Kunal has signed up for the Formula 3 training at the Formula One racing track in Abu Dhabi and was there for a couple of days recently.

He tells us, “The experience of Formula One racing is exhilarating. I'm going to head there frequently and train whenever I have a week or so off. My plan is to finish the training within the year.“ While he was there, he also worked with Gianluca, who used to be an engineer for Michael Schumacher with an international auto brand.

Passionate about activities like skydiving, flying and driving, Kunal is known to devote exclusive time to these. He says, “I've always been a racing enthusiast. The sport requires a lot of concentration and complete immersion because of the speed at which you are going. Even though you are driving really fast, it becomes meditative because it's only you and the machine. That's true for flying as well.“
