After telling the story of two friends in his upcoming film Yaara, Tigmanshu Dhulia is planning to serve up some romance.

There has been plenty of speculation about his planned project Milan Talkies, with the grapevine suggesting that it is a period drama. But the director refutes the rumours saying, “It’s a love story set in contemporary times. It’s probably my most romantic film so far.” After this assertion, it’s no surprise to learn that the film, which will flag off in mid-2015, will be top-lined by Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor, the real life couple who brought aashiqui back to reel life.

Will their chemistry give the film an extra edge? He asserts, “Aditya and Shraddha created a blockbuster together, now it’s up to me recreate the same magic on screen with them.” Imran Khan and Priyanka Chopra were his original choice.

Mirror (August 29, 2013) had reported that after a bitter spat with the film’s producer Ekta Kapoor, Imran stormed out of the project. Shahid Kapoor and Varun Dhawan were then reportedly in contention for the lead but Tigmanshu says that he has found his “dream pair” in Aditya and Shraddha.
