MARDAANI collected around 3 crore nett on day one as the cities were better in the evening than the morning which is expected. Still the fate of the film will depend on the all important Saturday and if it can show big growth. 

The film has managed a better first day than other female orientated films like QUEEN, DEDH ISHQIYA and GULAAB GANG but was a bit less than HIGHWAY. The collections mainly came from the big city multiplexes with single screens recording very poor figures.

It was ahead of SINGHAM RETURNS in West Bengal and Mysore. In Delhi/UP it grossed around 65 lakhs nett while East Punjab was 33 lakhs nett and Rajasthan and CI was 16 and 11 lakhs nett respectively. Mumbai circuit should come in a little over 1 crore nett.

There were three other releases this week - KATIYABAAZ, LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL and MAD ABOUT DANCE but all three were washouts.
