Sometimes you over-react or take a rash decision in the heat of the moment. It’s human nature. Is that what happened in the Preity Zinta-Ness Wadia spat? While there are rumours that Priety is on a vendetta against Ness (now reportedly dating another actress), this is far from the truth.

WHAT HAPPENED?
Ness is known to lose his temper. When it happened in front of her friends and just before a crucial match, she wasn’t going to let it pass. She wanted to ensure that these tiffs ended once and for all. The only way she thought she could get the point across was by filing a police complaint.

WHAT WENT WRONG...
Says a friend close to the actress, “She went quietly and filed the compliant. She didn’t realise that the section that the cops would file the case under would be molestation and outraging a woman’s modesty, which is a really serious offence. And she never accused Ness of that. Her complaint was more of bad behaviour and being abusive. She thought the cops would question him and that would act as a deterrent in the future. However, the press got hold of the information and it got ugly.”

THEN IT GOT WORSE...
There were debates on national television. Ness suffered character assassination. Fingers were pointed at Preity. Some speculated she did it to sell off her share in the team. Another report suggested it was her way of getting Ness out of team ownership. That there would be pressure to walk away.

MEANWHILE...
While these reports were doing the rounds, their friends intervened. A truce is being discussed and will likely take place soon.
