Dharmendra has joined the cast of Govinda's daughter, Narmmadaa Ahuja's debut film, Second Hand Husband. Mirror has learnt that the veteran starwill essay the title role in the film which will be shot extensively in Chandigarh.

Revealed a source close to the unit, “It is a pivotal role with fun elements. Dharmendra was given the narration by director Smeep Kang and he immediately decided to come on board. The actor has recently done a Punjabi film, Double Di Trouble, with Kang, which was produced by Subhash Ghai. It was both Dharamendra's and Ghai's first Punjabi film."

While Dharmendra remained unavailable to comment, Narmmadaa Ahuja confirmed the news saying, “Yes, Dharmendra sir is doing the film. I cannot believe that I'll be sharing screen-space with him. Both my dad and I are huge fans of his. Even he is thrilled about him joining the cast of my film."

Second Hand Husband, which goes on floors in August, will also mark the Hindi debut of Punjabi singer-actor, Gippy Grewal, opposite Narmmadaa Ahuja.
