Actress Deepshikha Nagpal,
who has been part of the entertainment industry for two decades, has
finally made her debut in Gujarati theatre. Gujarati is her mother
tongue. She is the granddaughter of Vithaldas Pachotia, known for his
association with Gujarati theatre during the silent era of the industry. Her mother was also a Gujarati actress. She says, “I have
done two Hindi
plays with Rajpal Yadav and Paritosh Painter, but that was long back. I
have done 10 Gujarati films. While TV and cinema give you immediate
recognition, theatre helps you polish your acting skills. Due to my work
commitment, I had to decline a lot of offers, but this came to me at
the right time. I had just left a TV show and had ample time to devote
to theatre.“
