An excited Arbaaz gushes, “Malaika looks fabulous, she’s at her prime. Rajkummar, who has never danced to a lip-sync song before, even though he’s supposed to be a trained dancer has turned out very good in his little jig. Raj can dance, saala!”

Describing the item song, he says, “Set against the backdrop of a small town wedding where people spend more than they actually have, the item song, sung by Sajid and Wajid has a rustic, earthy flavour. There will be comparisons to Munni (Dabangg), but our intention was not to compete.”

Malaika defers, “I feel Fashion is completely different from Munni, so there’s nothing to compare. It’s a mastiwala song. While I missed having Farah (Khan had choreographed Munni) around, and I am working with Remo for the first time, it was fun working with him.”

She continues, “My only grouse was that I couldn’t wear more. They said that this was the only requirement. My friend Rick Roy has done the look and costumes. I am wearing a ghagra choli and we played around with brighter colours other than the typical wedding colours like reds and blacks.”

Dolly Ki Doli is also Malaika’s production, but she avers, “It was Arbaaz and his team’s call to have me in the dance sequence as they thought I would be the best. It’s funny, but I heard the song during rehearsals on the day I shot for it. I trust Arbaaz completely. He has a very good sense of music. I must add that having Arbaaz on the sets is very nerve-wracking. I kept asking him if he was sure that I am looking fine. At the end of it he told me that I have nailed it! It was very sweet of him to say that. Rajkummar turned out to be a good dancer. He was totally at ease, completely enjoyed dancing and killed it in the song. He gives me full-on takkar.”
