Varun Dhawan is a teetotaller.  On the last day of shooting for Karan Johar's Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, he was to be drunk in a scene. And while normally actors drink apple juice to disguise it as liquor, he decided to actually have a little vodka to bring in authenticity to the scene. But, obviously, even the little vodka he had was enough to make him have a hangover.

Next day, he had a meeting with his mentor Karan Johar, but he reached an hour late, as he was still not over the vodka. Only Varun can tell whether he got shouted at by Karan for coming late or hugged for performing the scene with authenticity.
