Nimrat in psycho drama

For over a year after the critically acclaimed The Lunchbox, Nimrat Kaur did not sign a single film. Finally, the actress has given the nod to a psychological drama opposite Rajkummar Rao, to be produced by Nikhil Advani.

The film will be directed by Saurabh Shukla who last helmed I Am 24. A source close to the filmmaker revealed, "It is a meaty role, completely different from her debut. Nimrat's character has several layers and it will shock people."

Confirming the news, Shukla said, "Yes, we have finalised Nimrat and Rajkummar."

The director intends to shoot his film extensively in Kashmir as the location is integral to the plot, which Shukla says "deals with our terrifying and mysterious world."

Talking about the film, Nikhil Advani said, "Nimrat is a talented actress and after weeks of discussions, we were convinced that she is apt for the part."
