Mohit Suri's Ek Villain is a story of how love can transform even the beastliest of people. The upcoming film, starring Sidharth Malhotra (Guru), Shraddha Kapoor (Aisha) and Riteish Deshmukh (Rakesh), shows a gangster being tamed by a young woman.
Says Mohit about not choosing to make a typical Bollywood romance, “Black and white characters are mundane, our film explores the grey streak in every individual. Love has the power to humanise a beast and to create a beast out of a good person. The kind of love that enters your life determines its course." Why a villain's love story? “Doesn't a bad man feel bad? Doesn't he feel jealous, feel love? Isn't the hero the villain of a villain's love story?“ Mohit asks. Tanuj Garg, CEO of Balaji Motion Pictures, says, “The film is a spectacular showdown of a cat and-mouse game. It weaves high drama with romance and emotions."
Ek Villain, produced by Balaji Motion Pict ures, releases June 27.
