In all the six films she's
acted in so far, Jacqueline Fernandez has never dubbed her own
lines. However, thanks to Salman Khan, that will change with her
upcoming action-comedy, Kick.
Revealed a source close to the production, “For the last few months, Jacky has been taking diction classes. Salman was categorical that she makes her `voice debut' with Kick and she has dubbed for her character in the film."
Producer-director Sajid Nadiadwala confirms the news, “Yes, it's true and it was Salman's idea. Since Jacky's character in the film is from Europe even her accent is justified in the manner of speaking. It was a great idea as using her own voice has enhanced her performance.“
But getting the actress of Sri Lankan origin to speak fluent Hindi wasn't easy. “Jacky would sometimes take an entire day to dub for a scene as she's still new to the language. But she's worked really hard and everybody is pleased with the results."
Dubbing artist Mona Ghosh Shetty had voiced Jacqueline's character in her last film, the Abbas-Mustan directed, Race 2.
