Delhi girl Kriti Sanon, who made her debut opposite Tiger Shroff in Heropanti, has bagged her second Hindi film. Akshay Kumar will romance the confident 23-year-old in Prabhu Dheva's Singh is Bliing.

In a bid to get themselves a little mileage, and, as is a practice these days, other established heroines did float stories on how they were 'being considered' for this film. However, it is only three days ago that Prabhu actually took a call on his leading lady. The filmmaker is happy to have Kriti on board and feels that this fresh pairing should spark curiosity.

Akshay Kumar will be romancing Tiger Shroff's Heropanti heroine in his upcoming action comedy, Singh Is Bliing. Earlier, rumours were rife that Kareena Kapoor had been roped in to play the female lead in the Prabhu Dheva directed film. But it turns out that Kriti Sanon is the chosen one.

According to a source close to the development, "The film takes off in November and will be shot in Cape Town and across Africa. The story requires the exotic locales. It is a love story and Kriti plays a dancer in the film."

One of the reasons Kriti scored is her dancer-like physique and her impressive moves. "She's tall and slim and has a dancer-like structure," points out the source.

Contrary to popular belief, the film is not a sequel to the 2008 Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif starrer, Singh Is King.

The only similarity is that Akshay Kumar once again plays a sardar in the film. Here he has a fascination for 'bling' as is evident in the film's first poster which has him flaunting a golden sequinned turban.

"It is a very different film and required a different heroine. Akshay saw Heropanti and liked Kriti. And it was he who suggested she'd be apt for the part," said the source.
