Yo Yo Honey Singh’s is all set to launch a boxing tournament Global Fighting Championship (GFC), in Dubai on May 29.

Says a source close to the singer, “Yo Yo plans to take entertainment to the next level. He is a boxing fanatic and is also a trained fighter. He has trained in mixed martial arts and kick boxing for three years and follows the sport very closely.” He wanted to take his passion for the sport further and along with his friends Shafeeq, Zak D and Prince Amir is promoting GFC along with Dubai Sports Council. Many top notch international fighters have been invited to participate in this boxing tournament.” Four heavy weight international fighters — Badr Hari, Peter Graham, Arnold Oborotove and Stefan Leko — will be fighting it out for the championship title. Michael Buffer, the American ring announcer for boxing and professional wrestling matches who is known for his catchphrase, ‘Let’s get ready to rumble!’ has also been roped in for the tournament.” Honey is hoping to invite his celebrity friends, business associates and politicians to Dubai this month to witness the fight live.

Singh confirms, “I am positive that the amount of love and support I have got from my audience will make this a success. My friends in Dubai and I plan to make this a regular property and are working towards coming up with the next edition after six months.”
