Talk
of how agile Bollywood debutant Tiger Shroff is continues to abound.
Sources from the Heropanti set indicate that a parkour sequence done by
this star son may perhaps qualify for the longest in Indian cinema.
While one cannot verify this claim at this point, it is nevertheless
interesting to know that Tiger’s parkour scene lasted six minutes and 30
seconds. The youngster trained for three months for this sequence and
the shot was canned with multiple cameras to capture every nuance in its
entirety. Other actors who are good at parkour are Akshay Kumar, Vidyut
Jammwal and Arunoday Singh.
WHAT IS PARKOUR Developed
from military obstacle course training, it’s a holistic discipline that
uses movement. Practitioners aim to get from A to B in the most
efficient way, using their bodies and surroundings to propel themselves,
while maintaining as much momentum as possible. Parkour can include
obstacle courses, running, climbing, swinging, jumping, rolling and
quadrupedal movement.
